Hyeong Jin Hyun

I am currently a Post Doctorate Research Associate at Purdue University, working with Dr. Xiao Wang and Dr. Haibo Liu. I received my Ph.D. in Statistics from Purdue University, where I was advised by Dr. Wang.

My research focuses on the interface between statistical methodology, machine learning, and generative AI. I am particularly interested in developing principled statistical frameworks that enhance the theoretical foundations and practical performance of modern machine learning techniques.

Prior to my doctoral studies, I earned my M.S. in Statistics at Seoul National University, where I was advised by Dr. Johan Lim, and completed my B.S. in Mathematical Sciences and Statistics at the same institution.
